A meal in celebration of the marriage between Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh and Prince Ernst Ludwig, Grand Duke of Hesse. The wedding breakfast was held in the throne room of the castle of Ehrenberg, in Coburg. Princess Victoria Melita was daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and a granddaughter of Queen Victoria as well as of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Her marriage to her paternal first cousin Ernst Ludwig, ended in divorce in 1901.
